Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) resumed his feud with the History Channel on Saturday with sarcastic praise for the channel's choice to air a documentary series on Americans who colonized the central and western United States.

Grassley joked Saturday that there was finally some "real History" on "the Channel" as the History Channel aired the fourth part of a six-hour docuseries called "The Men Who Built America: Frontiersmen," a historical look at pioneers such as Daniel Boone and Davy Crockett as well as explorers Meriwether Lewis and William Clark and the Native American Shawnee chief Tecumseh.

The Iowa senator frequently aims jabs at the History Channel, contending that the network's executives often forgo historical documentaries in favor of original programming such as "Ice Road Truckers."
